We then went through the great Glencoe. A glen is Scottish for valley. This valley was made out of a glacier from the ice age. It was full of beautiful sights. We drove down the west coast and stayed at a really old Stage Coach Inn. The windows were really old and Dad told us how they spun the glass to make a window. Later we went for a walk on the gruffalo trail.
Stirling Castle looked cool with cannon ball damage in the walls and the William Wallace monument looked like a rocket ship. William Wallace beat the English in battle. The English caught him and he had a very bad death.
That night we stayed in a Castle. In the war it was a school and the school teacher was a german spy who lit the castle on fire so the German planes knew where to drop bombs.
On the way back we went to a park near Dad's old house and saw some squirrels.
That was the end of our highland adventure. Next we go to London.
