Today was country day when the children make creations from flowers, fruit and veges. Room 1 also had 14 children visiting from Kiwi Kids Preschool in Waihi. We had so much fun making our petal saucers and it was good to see children helping each other. This week's value is participation which meant children giving things a go even if they hadn't made things like these before. These pictures show us working with the Kiwi kids.
Then we all decorated a biscuit with coloured icing , sweets and various sprinkles to eat at morning tea. YUM!
We invited our grandparents, parents and special friends and relatives to come along to country day. We had a special morning tea for the grandparents and other adults. Here is some of our writing about that special person. If you couldn't make it today come along and read these in Te Kauri.
Room 1 is enjoying sharing the great learning we do at school.
