We wondered how cold would be too cold for the eggs to stop growing. We think that as long as the eggs stay over 30 degrees they will keep growing. We could look online or in books to find out if we are right.
We turned the heat down on the top of the incubator because it was 38.7 degrees. They should be 37.5 - 38 degrees. They were too hot.
At lunchtime we numbered the eggs from 1 - 12 so that when we start to candle them (look inside them) and keep track of which ones are growing and which ones aren't.
We turned the eggs to the side so that we couldn't see the black dots. We turned them again at lunchtime.
With our composting and fruit tree planting today we didn't get to candle our eggs. Tomorrow's scientists will start to do this.
