Sharlene Kelly of Project Energize spent the morning with us and our bikes teaching us about safety and giving us some tips for our upcoming Tryathlon, scoot and mount being a challenging favourite.
Our focus for discovery day was Managing Self. We talked about what that meant for us if things were harder than had been expected. We thought about ways we could manage ourself if the result wasn't what we had hoped for. Lucy said that "it doesn't matter what it looks like, we will still have learnt something".
Three guinea pigs looked on as we explored shibori, a Japanese form of tie dye using found objects to create relief effects. This is a variation on the relief technique Room 2 used last year to create our flags.
Construction was fun and we are already thinking about how we can use our hammering skills to build our school vegetable garden.
