We have been talking about what it takes to be a good classmate and how we can all help each other and ourselves to succeed. We are currently making short trailers using iMovie that introduce our table groups for Term 1 and showcase some pretty spectacular secret talents. We can't wait to share them with you!
Here are some pictures of us sharing our work with the other groups, what a great way to get some different ideas and feedback half way through the process.
A few notes from me.
I will be in class Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. After lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday students will go to their buddy class, either Room 1 or Room 3.
We will be swimming everyday as part of our PE program. If for some reason your child is unable to swim please send a note with them to school.
A notice came home on Tuesday with details about swim club. The numbers are strictly limited and places will be allocated on a first in first served basis. Please return these to me as soon as you can.
It is very important for us to keep well hydrated in this warm weather. I would like to encourage every child to bring a drink bottle of water to school each day that they can keep with them in the classroom to use as needed.
Please remember that hats are to be worn everyday during playtime AND during class fitness and PE. Keeping hats at school in your child's tote tray is a great idea.
In Room 2 we love sitting together and listening to a good story, if you would like to come and be a 'mystery reader' please get in touch with me and we can arrange a time for you to come in and share a book with the class.
If you have some time and you would like to spend it at school we would love to have you, just let me know and we can arrange a suitable time. I will also place a list of quick jobs that you might be able to help with as you drop off or pick up your child by our door. Thank you!
Our class will go to the library with Mrs Burne and Room 1 on Wednesday afternoons. Please make sure that your child has a book bag as these are needed in order to take books home.
Keep in touch
Communication is important. Please feel free to contact me either by popping in before school or by email to email@example.com, if I am running about please don't avoid talking, I'm always happy to make a time to sit down and discuss any concerns or answer any questions about your child.
I'm looking forward to a great year!
