Just a short message from me at this busy time. Thanks for everyone who attended last weeks consultation evening-great discussion and feedback for setting our charter and school direction for the coming years, and for considering Waikino School's stance on joining the COL. We are in the process of analyzing the feedback from families and will share our discussions and next steps with you all soon.
Progress and end of year reports alongside stationary lists and classroom placements for 2017 will go home with children this Friday, 9 December. The students are organising a fun day for the 12th of December with a shared lunch together as a whole school-no doubt a water fight and free swim will be on the cards:)
The End of Year Prize Giving Assembly is held on the last day of Term, 14th December at 10.30am. Usually Assembly finishes around 12.30 at which point children are encouraged to go home with their family who attended. This year's programme includes a new whole school song, guitar performances and key board performances as well-alongside our special awards for academic achievement, trophies, Kauri awards and Y6 leaving ceremony-for our one Y6 leaving in 2016, Noah.
Have a great week, and remember our value focus for the next two weeks is peacefulness-what a great focus and way to end out year.
nga mihi nui
