Last week Room 1 hosted the Junior Room, to listen to their writing about the Scarecrows that will feature in the storyline. We were entertained and impressed by the language used by these Junior writers-well done! We used Room 2's blog to help us further develop the storyline for the "Secret life of us" which has been completed, and Room 1 has begun writing the various scenes that have also been suggested to link all the performances from within all classrooms and their ideas together. Room 1 hopes to have written the production by the end of this week. No pressure!
At this stage the Production is set to go ahead in Week 9, the last week of Term, the 21-24 September, however the work at the Waikino Hall is behind schedule and as it is being done voluntarily-Brian Habberfield and Rod Hawkins have both asked for help from within the community to get the work done. If you are able to help please head along. If the work isn't completed then it is more likely our production would have to be postponed until after Art Waikino. Let's see what we can do!

The Garden Gang
This Wednesday, from 1:45 - 2:45pm we will have our first meet - and this would be a great way to see how much interest there is and discuss which day of the week is most suitable for the majority of us. It needn't be Wednesdays. I for one would love to get stuck into Room 2's list of 22 jobs in the garden... but I would much prefer to do it with some company! You're welcome to contact me if you would be interested but can't make it this week.
Hope to see many of you on Wednesday
