Wonderful to see so many smiling faces, excited though a little nervous to be back at school. With 3 classes now in operation everyone was pleased to meet our new teacher, Mrs Lauren Bartram teaching in Room 2 for the rest of the year. We are thrilled to have her join our fantastic team!
A big thank you to Karen Davies for attending to our fields on her ride on while we wait to replace the school one stolen last term:( and to Ken Ward for tidying the school grounds and mowing the lawns. The school grounds are looking good thanks to their efforts and thanks to Teresa Hakaraia and the PD boys on Saturday-good to see the PTA shed cleaned up too. It certainly is nice to see a warm glow about the place with all this sunshine after so much rain. Thanks also to Kevin Ley for cleaning out our gutters!
Just a reminder that the school newsletter is digital as of this Term to reduce our copy costs and do our bit as an enviro school to reduce our paper usage-if families wish to receive a paper copy please request one at the office otherwise the newsletter is available on the school website from 3pm on Mondays.

I really enjoy spending time outdoors and can often be found in our vegetable garden. When I get the chance I love to spend time on the boat, fishing, diving and swimming.
I completed a practicum here at Waikino School during my teacher training and have wanted to return ever since. It is lovely to see that some of those students are still here, though as seniors rather than new entrants.
I am really looking forward to getting to know you all and becoming part of the Waikino School community.
