Since 2020, Waikino School has been working closely with local iwi - Ngāti Tara Tokānui, who provide guidance in navigating matters related to tukuihotanga.

Our partnership with local iwi has provided an opportunity be a part of their environmental and educational initiatives.

Waikino is a tight-knit community often referred to by locals as the village, who support and promote our school in various capacities.
